The End of Summer

July 08, 2016

When we decided to put together this roadmap for those of you lucky enough to spend a few days or a week in West Hollywood we had no idea how difficult it would be. There’s a lot going on here, and that’s putting it mildly. From old-school hip hop and the velvety sound of blues to quirky indie favorites and razor sharp dance—let’s just say you’re sure to have a great night on the town, courtesy of Le Montrose. Let’s get right into it! Certified rising star Greg Banks is making his funky way to local stage favorite Whiskey a Go Go for a Saturday, August 13th performance. This indie artist hails originally from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Saturday, August 20th is going to kick off this 9 o’clock show at Mid-City Arthouse, featuring the music of Terrakroma and Brad Moontribe. Federal Bar in North Hollywood continues its Snapback series with your favorite house music from long ago (August 25, 10 PM). Not quite your thing? Local is always a safe bet in California, so that same night State Social House, a terrific gastropub, is hosting Roxxy Floyd and other West Hollywood artists. Last, but not least, Roaring Nights storms the L.A. Zoo again with its music series. On August 26th (the theme is indie) you’ll be encouraged to sing along from 7 to 11 o’clock.
